According to Terez A. Paylor, the Chiefs waived DB Shannon Edwards in a corresponding roster move to signing S Jeron Johnson.
Edwards, 22, is an undrafted free agent out of Fresno State that signed on with the Chiefs back in May. This was his first opportunity with an NFL team.
During his college career, he recorded 93 total tackles, three tackles for loss, three sacks, one interception, four pass defenses and two forced fumbles.
