Colts Activate Rookie WR Michael Pittman Jr From IR, Waive WR Daurice Fountain

The Indianapolis Colts announced Saturday that they’ve activated rookie WR Michael Pittman Jr. from injured reserve and waived WR Daurice Fountain.

Michael Pittman

Pittman had compartment leg syndrome in his calf and underwent surgery, which led to him being placed on injured reserve a few weeks ago.

Pittman, 22, was a three-year starter at USC and earned first-team All-Pac 12 honors last season. The Colts traded up with the Redskins to select him with No. 34 overall pick in this year’s draft.

Pittman signed a four-year, $8,612,849 rookie contract that includes a $3,823,890 signing bonus.

In 2020, Pittman has appeared in three games for the Colts and caught nine passes for 73 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
