Field Yates of ESPN reports that Colts DT Arthur Jones recently agreed to a pay cut to be back with the team.
According to Yates, Jones, agreed to reduce his 2016 salary from $4.5 million to $2.5 million. However, Jones can make the $2 million difference back through per-game roster bonuses and incentives.
Jones, 29, is in the third year of his five-year, $33 million contract that includes $16 million guaranteed. He was set to make a base salary of $4.5 million for the 2016 season.
Last year, Jones unfortunately suffered a serious ankle injury that forced him to undergo surgery to repair torn ligaments, and subsequently led to him being placed on season-ending injured reserve before the start of the season.
