Colts Host QB Brock Osweiler For Visit

According to Field Yates, the Colts hosted free-agent QB Brock Osweiler for a visit on Tuesday.

The Colts are in need of a backup quarterback following the stunning retirement of Andrew Luck

Osweiler, 28, is a former second-round pick of the Broncos in 2012. He played out his rookie contract with the Broncos before signing a four-year, $72 million contract with the Texans that included $37 million guaranteed back in 2016.

In 2017 the Texans traded Osweiler and a 2018 second-round pick to the Browns in return for a 2017 fourth-round pick. Cleveland tried to trade Osweiler but ultimately cut him loose coming out of the preseason after no deal surfaced.

Osweiler returned to the Broncos and finished out the season in Denver before agreeing to a one-year, $880,000 deal with the Dolphins in 2018.

In 2018, Osweiler played seven games for the Dolphins and threw for 1,247 yards while completing 63.5 percent of his passes to go along with six touchdowns and four interceptions.
