Leonard, 23, was taken with the No. 36 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Colts out of South Carolina State. He completed the first year of his four-year, $7,247,808 rookie contract that included a $3,351,132 signing bonus.
In 2018, Leonard appeared in 15 games for the Colts and recorded 163 total tackles, seven sacks, two interceptions two fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles, and eight pass defenses. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 7 overall linebacker out of 93 qualifying players.
