The Indianapolis Colts announced Friday that they’ve promoted WR Steve Ishmael to their active roster and placed DTย Jihad Ward on injured reserve.
Ward, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Raiders back in 2016. He was in the third year of his four-year, $5.539 million contract when the Raiders traded him to the Cowboys for WR Ryan Switzer.
Dallas wound up waiving Ward coming out of the preseason and he later signed on to the Colts’ practice squad. Indianapolis promoted him to their active roster soon after.
In 2018, Ward has appeared in six games for the Colts and recorded four tackles and three sacks.
