Colts Prepared To Split Carries Between Donald Brown & Vick Ballard

Colts interim head coach Bruce Arians mentioned that he expects RB’s Donald Brown and Vick Ballard to play “equal amounts” during Week 9’s game against the Dolphins, per George Bremer.

Brown returned from arthroscopic knee surgery last week and totaled 80 yards on 14 carries. He figures to be the first man up this weekend, but Ballard will be worked into the mix at some point. Ballard finished Week 8’s game with 12 carries for 55 yards and an unbelievable touchdown run in overtime.

It will be interesting to see who steps up against a tough Miami defense because it could ultimately determine their future workloads.
