The Indianapolis Colts announced Saturday that they’ve promoted TE Erik Swoope to their active roster and waived cornerback Lenzy Pipkins.
- Indianapolis signed quarterback Phillip Walker to the practice squad.
Swoope, 26, wound up signing on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of 2014. He has been on and off of the team’s practice squad for the early part of his career before he made the 53-man roster last season.
The Colts brought Swoope back on an exclusive rights contracts each of the past two seasons. However, Indianapolis waived him last week and later re-signed him to their practice squad.
In 2018, Swoope has appeared in one game and caught one pass for 13 yards and no touchdowns.
