The Indianapolis Colts announced Wednesday that they’ve promoted TE Erik Swoope to the 53-man roster and waived TE Mo Alie-Cox.
Swoope, 26, wound up signing on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of 2014. He has been on and off of the team’s practice squad for the early part of his career before he made the 53-man roster last season.
The Colts brought Swoope back on an exclusive rights contracts each of the past two seasons. Indianapolis waived him a few weeks ago and later re-signed him to their practice squad. He’s been on and off of their roster this season.
In 2018, Swoope has appeared in two games and caught two passes for 20 yards and no touchdowns.
