The Indianapolis Colts announced Saturday that they’ve elevated TE Farrod Green to their active roster for Sunday’s game against the Vikings.
The Colts have been dealing with injuries at tight end, so it’s surprising that they would want to add some depth for Week 2.
Indianapolis’ tight end group now consists of Green, Mo Alie-Cox and Noah Togiai.
Green, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Mississippi State back in April. He later signed a $2.28 million contract with the Colts.
After being waived coming out of the preseason, the Colts re-signed Green to their practice squad.
During his college career at MSU, Green caught 52 passes for 633 yards receiving and two touchdowns over the course of four seasons and 33 games.
