The Indianapolis Colts are finalizing a contract with S Clayton Geathers on Wednesday, according to Joel A. Erickson.
Geathers took free agent visits to meet with the Cowboys and Buccaneers. However, it appears as though a return to the Colts proved to be his best option in the end.
Geathers, 26, was a fourth-round pick by the Colts in 2015 out of UCF. He signed a four-year deal that expired after the 2018 season.
In 2018, Geathers appeared in 12 games for the Colts, recording 88 total tackles, one forced fumble and three passes defenses. He was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 51 safety out of 93 qualifying players.
We had him featured in our Top 50 Free Agents Available list.
