The Indianapolis Colts announced Thursday that they’ve signed OT Will Holden to their practice squad and released RB Jeremy McNichols from the unit.
The Colts’ practice squad now consists of:
- TE Mo Alie-Cox
- WR Steve Ishmael
- WR Reece Fountain
- QB Phillip Walker
- DE Carroll Phillips
- LB Ahmad Thomas
- DE Jihad Ward
- G Sean Harlow
- DB Tarvarus McFadden
- OT Will Holden
McNichols, 22, was selected with the No. 162 overall pick by the Buccaneers in the 2017 draft. He signed a four-year contract worth $2,663,788 with Tampa Bay but was, unfortunately, cut loose coming out of the preseason.
McNichols later decided to sign on to the 49ers’ practice squad and eventually promoted him to their active roster. However, he was once again cut loose coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Colts’ practice squad.
During his college career at Boise State, McNichols rushed for 3,205 yards on 571 carries (5.6 YPC) to go along with 103 receptions for 1,089 yards receiving and 55 total touchdowns over the course of three seasons and 34 games.
