Williams, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue back in May. He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason before later signing to their practice squad.
The Colts promoted him to their active roster just last week only to cut him loose in recent days.
During his college career at Purdue, Williams recorded 227 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 10 interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 17 pass defenses over the course of 47 games.
Quarles, 24, signed with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina back in May. However, he lasted just a few months with the Giants before he was cut at the start of the season and later claimed off of waivers by the Patriots.
Since then, Quarles had brief stints with the Colts, Brownsย and Patriots before returning to the Colts towards the end of last season. He was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason but was later added to their practice squad.
In 2014, Quarles appeared in two games and recorded one tackle, one sack and a pass defense.
