The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday that they’ve re-signed DL Margus Hunt to a contract extension.
- Adam Schefter reports that Hunt receives a two-year, $9 million contract from the Colts and that can be worth up to $10 million.
Hunt, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals back in 2013. He played out his four-year, $3,671,100 rookie contract with the Bengals before agreeing to a two-year contract with the Colts for the 2017 season.
Hunt was in line to be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
In 2018, Hunt appeared in 15 games for the Colts and recorded 30 tackles, five sacks, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 55 interior defender out of 112 qualifying players.
We had him featured in our Top 100 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
