Colts Sign OT Andrew McDonald, Waive TE Weslye Saunders

The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday that they have signed OT Andrew McDonald to a contract and placed TE Weslye Saunders on waivers to make room for McDonald.

McDonald, 26, signed on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana back in 2012. He later signed on to the Panthers’ practice squad October of last year and Carolina later signed him to a future/reserve contract.

McDonald was most recently with the Seahawks when he signed to their practice squad, but he was released just a few days later.

He has yet to appear in an NFL game.

Saunders, 25, joined the Colts back in 2012 when he signed on with them as a free agent. He hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since last season when he caught four passes for 46 yards over the course of six games.
