The Indianapolis Colts announced Friday that they’ve signed OT Cedrick Lang to their practice squad and released OT Gerhard de Beer from the unit.
Hereโs the Colts updated practice squad:
- OL Jake Eldrenkamp
- LB Skai Moore
- WR Chad Williams
- DE Gerri Green
- CB Deante Burton
- TE Ian Bunting
- WR Deon Cain
- DT Kyle Peko
- RB Darius Jackson
- OT Cedrick Lang
Lang, 27, wound up signing on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of UTEP back in May. He was unfortunately waived just a few days later and never caught on with another team during the season.
Lang signed a futures deal with the Broncos for the 2017 season, but did not make it out of final roster cutdowns. From there, he joined the Vikings’ practice squad in 2017 and was brought back on a futures deal for 2018.
The Patriots agreed to a one-year deal with Lang this past April only to release him coming out of the preseason.
During his senior year at UTEP as a tight end, Lang caught 11 passes for 72 yards receiving and one touchdown over the course of eight games.
