The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday that they’ve signed WR Dres Anderson to their practice squad and released WR KeVonn Mabon from the unit.
The Colts’ practice squad now consists of:
- QB Phillip Walker
- G Ian Silberman
- TE Mo Alie-Cox
- WR K.J. Brent
- DB Ronald Martin
- LB Vontarrius Dora
- TE Jason Vander Laan
- DB Denzel Rice
- DT Anthony Johnson
- WR KeVonn Mabon
Anderson, 25, wound up signing on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Utah back in May of 2015. He was in the second year of his three-year, $1.581 million contract and set to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season when he was waived at the start of the regular season.
The 49ers re-signed Anderson to their practice squad before cutting him loose during the season. Anderson signed a future/reserve contract with the Bears but was waived shortly after this year’s draft.
The Texans signed Anderson to a contract this past June only to cut him loose coming out of the preseason. Anderson had a brief stint on the Redskins’ practice in September.
Anderson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
