The Indianapolis Colts announced Friday that they’ve signed WRย Rodney Adams to a futures contractย for the 2018 season.
As of now, the Colts have signed 11 players to futures deals including:
- TE Mo Alie-Cox
- WR Dres Anderson
- DT Johnathan Calvin
- WR Kolby Listenbee
- OLB Arthur Miley
- OLB Josh Perry
- QB Phillip Walker
- G Isaiah Williams
- ILB Darnell Sankey
- WR DeAndre Smelter
- WRย Rodney Adams
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Adams, 23, was taken in the fifth-round of this year’s NFL draft by the Vikings. He signed a four-year, $2.64 million contract with the Vikings and was set to make a base salary of $465,000 for the 2017 season when he was waived in October of last year.
Adams later had a brief stint on the Vikings’ practice squad.
During his college career, Adams caught 136 passes for 1,976 yards receiving and 16 touchdowns over the course of 38 games and four seasons. He also rushed for 375 yards and seven touchdowns.
