Andrew Walker reports that the Colts have placed tenders on restricted free agents OL Evan Boehm, S Matthias Farley and WR Chester Rogers, while also tendering contracts to exclusive rights free agents WR Marcus Johnson and LS Luke Rhodes.
According to ProFootballTalk, the Colts used a second-round tender on Rogers.
The second-round tender will cost them $3.095 million for the 2019 season and ensure that they receive a second-round pick for him if they decline to match an offer he receives from another team.
Rogers, 25, signed on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Grambling State back in May of 2016. He finished his three-year contract and was set to become an unrestricted free agent if not tendered.
In 2018, Rogers appeared in all 16 games for the Colts and recorded 53 receptions for 485 yards receiving (9.2 YPC) and scored two touchdowns. Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 82 overall receiving out of 117 qualifying players.
