Colts Trade K Cody Parkey To Eagles For RB David Fluellen

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Colts have traded K Cody Parkey to the Eagles in return for RB David Fluellen.

This is somewhat surprising give that Tom Pelissero of USA Today reported earlier in the day that the Eagles were set to waive RB David Fluellen following the addition of RB Kenjon Barner Tuesday night.

It looks like the Colts got involved once they heard that Fluellen was set to be cut.

Fluellen, 22, signed with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo back in May. He was a first-team All-MAC pick as both a junior and senior.

During his college career, he ran for 3,336 yards on 561 carries (5.95 YPC) and caught 80 passes for 662 yards receiving while scoring 30 total touchdowns.

Parkey signed as an undrafted free agent out of Auburn back in May. During his four years at Auburn, Parkey converted 24 of 32 field goal attempts (75 percent) and scored a total of 140 points.
