The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday that they’ve placed CB Frankie Williams on waivers.
Williams, 23, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue back in May. He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason before later signing to their practice squad.
The Colts promoted him to their active roster just last week.
During his college career at Purdue, Williams recorded 227 tackles, 1.5 sacks, 10 interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 17 pass defenses over the course of 47 games.
