The Indianapolis Colts announced Tuesday that they’ve waived tight end Erik Swoope.
Swoope, 26, wound up signing on with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Miami back in May of 2014. He has been on and off of the team’s practice squad for the early part of his career before he made the 53-man roster last season.
The Colts brought Swoope back on an exclusive rights contracts each of the past two seasons. Indianapolis waived him a few weeks ago and later re-signed him to their practice squad. He’s been on and off of their roster this season.
In 2018, Swoope has appeared in seven games for the Colts and caught eight passes for 87 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
