Colts Worked Out Six Players

Aaron Wilson reports that the Indianapolis Colts worked out six free agents on Thursday including former Dolphins CB Cordrea Tankersley.

The full list of tryouts for the Dolphins includes:

1. CB Cordrea Tankersley
2. CB Andre Chachere
3. G Donnell Greene
4. T R.J. Prince
5. CB Tremon Smith
6. CB Brandon Williams

 

Tankersley, 26, is a former third-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2017. The Dolphins placed him on the PUP list coming out of the preseason last year due to an ACL injury and later declined to activate him from the list.

Miami waived Tankersley earlier in the week. He has not appeared in an NFL game since sustaining the ACL injury.

In 2018, Tankersley appeared in six games for the Dolphins and recorded five tackles and no sacks or interceptions.

Smith, 24, is a former sixth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2018. He signed a four-year, $2.6 million contract with Kansas City but was placed on waivers and later claimed by the Packers.

After being waived by the Packers he was signed to the Eagles’ practice squad. Philadelphia brought him back on a futures contract before recently waiving him. 

In 2019, Smith has appeared in eight games for the Chiefs and Packers and recorded two tackles to go along with 303 kick return yards.
