Aaron Wilson reports that the Cowboys are signing free agent LB Tre’von Johnson to their practice squad.
The Cowboys’ practice squad now consists of:
- TE Blake Jarwin
- TE Richard Ash
- G Kadeem Edwards
- WR Lance Lenior
- DT Lewis Neal
- CB Marquez White
- WR Brian Brown
- DB Jameill Showers
- OT Jarron Jones
- LB Tre’von Johnson
Johnson, 22, originally signed on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of Weber State. However, the team decided to waive him as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit.
During his four-year college career, Johnson appeared in 46 games and recorded 258 tackles, 27 tackles for loss, nine sacks, three forced fumbles and one fumble recovery. He was a first-team All-Big Sky selection in 2016.
