According to Todd Archer, the Cowboys held a virtual interview with LSU S Grant Delpit.
The Cowboys have had a need at safety for a few years now and Delpit is seen as one of the better safeties in this year’s draft class.
Dallas could be eyeing Delpit with either its first or second-round pick.
Delpit, 21, declared early for the draft after establishing himself as one of the top defensive prospects in the country during his three-year college career at LSU.
However, there’s been some buzz Delpit has seen his stock slide after once being regarded as a potential high first-round pick.
Dane Brugler lists Delpit as No. 46 overall on his Top 100 prospects and ranks him as the No. 4 safety in this class.
NFL Media’s Lance Zierlein compares Delpit to Titans S Kenny Vaccaro in his scouting report.
During his three-year college career at LSU, Delpit recorded 199 tackles, seven sacks, eight interceptions, two forced fumbles, two recoveries and 24 passes defended over the course of 40 games.
