Cowboys Hosted RB Ronnie Wingo For A Workout Thursday

Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports that RB Ronnie Wingo was also among the list of free agent running backs to workout for the Cowboys on Thursday.

The group included Ben Tate, Felix Jones and Daniel Thomas. However, there’s been no word regarding if any of these players will be signed to a contract.

Even though the Cowboys have maintained that they’re comfortable with their current crop of running backs, it’s certainly curious to see them hold workouts for four running backs.

Wingo, 24, originally signed on with the Falcons as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas back in 2013. Since then, Wingo has played for the Bills before signing a future/reserve contract with the Falcons in December of last year.

Wingo hasn’t appeared in an NFL game since his rookie season while playing for the Bills.
