Cowboys Reach Agreement With LB Jasper Brinkley On A Two-Year Deal

Todd Archer of ESPN Dallas reports that the Cowboys haveย reached an agreement with linebacker Jasper Brinkley on a two-year deal.

Dallas needed to find some help at linebacker after they lostย Justin Durant to the Falcons) and Bruce Carterย to theย Buccaneers in recent days.

Brinkley, 29,ย is a former fifth-round pick of the Vikings. He spent the first five years of his career in Minnesota before he signed on with the Cardinals as a free back in March of 2013.

The Vikings later brought him back on a one-year agreement.

Last year, Brinkley appeared inย all 16 games for the Vikings in 2014 and recorded 75 tackles, one sack and a forced fumble.ย Pro Football Focusย has him rated as the No. 16 inside linebacker out of 60ย qualifying players.
