Cowboys Release LB Mikel Jones & OT Alex Taylor From Practice Squad

The Dallas Cowboys officially released LB Mikel Jones and OT Alex Taylor from their practice squad on Monday. 

Here’s the Cowboys’ updated practice squad:

Jones, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Syracuse back in April. He signed on with the Chargers soon after but was among the team’s final roster cuts during the preseason.

Jones later signed on to the Cowboys’ practice squad before being called up. 

In 2023, Jones has appeared in one game for the Cowboys and recorded one tackle. 

During his four years at Syracuse, Jones recorded 298 tackles, eight and a half sacks, and four interceptions.
