The Dallas Cowboys have signed 12 players to future/reserve contract on Monday including QB Jameill Showers.

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and during training camp.
Showers, 25, wound up going undrafted out of UTEP back in May of last year before signing a three-year, $1.425 million contract with the Cowboys. Dallas cut him loose this coming out of the preseason but later added him to their practice squad at the start of the season.
Showers completed 266 of 474 passing attempts for 3,121 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions over the course of two years at UTEP.
