The Dallas Cowboys announced Monday that they’ve signed DE Kerry Hyder to an undisclosed contract.
The Cowboys could use some pass rush help and Hyder should come at a reasonable cost that will work with their cap situation, as they look to sign a number of key players to long-term deals.
Hyder, 27 originally signed on with the Jets as an undrafted free agent out of Texas Tech back in 2014. He spent a year in New York before signing a future/reserve contract with the Lions in January of 2015.
Hyder returned to the Lions on a one-year, exclusive rights contract last year.
In 2018, Hyder appeared in seven games for the Lions and recorded six tackles and a sack.
