According to Clarence Hill Jr of the Star-Telegram, the Cowboys have signed RB Darius Jackson following a tryout for the team on Tuesday.
Jackson was one of a handful of players to work out for the Cowboys on Tuesday.
Jackson, 24, was selected in the sixth round of last year’s draft by the Cowboys. Dallas waived Jackson towards the end of the 2016 season and was later claimed off waivers by the Browns.
Jackson was waived with an injury designation last summer and later reverted to the team’s injured reserve list where he remained for the entire 2017 season. The Browns waived a few days after this year’s draft.
Jackson has yet to appear in an NFL game.
During his college career at Eastern Michigan, Jackson ran for 1,596 yards on 321 carries (5 YPC) to go along with 44 receptions for 375 yards receiving and 21 touchdowns.
