Todd Archer reports that the Cowboys are signing S George Iloka to a one-year contract on Saturday.
Dallas was clearly in the market for a safety this offseason and previously showed interest in Earl Thomas and Eric Berry. However, it appears as though Iloka worked best with their cap situation.
Iloka could end up being a good buy-low option for the Cowboys.
Iloka, 28, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2012. He was in the third year of his five-year, $30 million contract that includes $5 million guaranteed when the Bengals elected to cut him loose during the preseason.
The Vikings later signed Iloka to a one-year contract is worth the veteran minimum of $790,000.
In 2018, Iloka appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and recorded 16 tackles, no interceptions, and a forced fumble.
