The Dallas Cowboys officially waived DB Jameill Showers from injured reserve with a settlement on Monday.
Showers, 28, wound up going undrafted out of UTEP back in 2015 before signing a three-year, $1.425 million contract with the Cowboys. Dallas cut him loose this coming out of the preseason and he’s been on and off of their practice squad since then.
Dallas brought Showers back on a futures contract last year only to release him a few weeks ago with an injury designation. He later reverted to the Cowboys’ injured reserve list.
During his college career, Showers completed 266 of 474 passing attempts for 3,121 yards, 23 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions over the course of two years at UTEP.
