The Dallas Cowboys officially waived DB Tyvis Powell from injured reserve with a settlement on Friday.
Powell, 25, signed on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Ohio State in 2016. He was in the first year of a three-year, $1.62 million contract when Seattle decided to waive him.
The Browns later claimed him off of waivers but cut him loose soon after. From there, Powell had brief stints with the Colts, Seahawks, 49ers, Jets and Texans before the Cowboys signed him to a contract last month.
Dallas waived Powell with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.
In 2018, Powell appeared in seven games for the 49ers and recorded six tackles and a forced fumble.
