Cowboys Worked Out DTs Montori Hughes & Casey Walker

According to Jon Machota, the Cowboys worked out defensive tackles Montori Hughes and Casey Walker on Monday.

Hughes, 26, is a former fifth-round pick of the Colts back in 2013. He lasted just over two years in Indianapolis before he was waived coming out of the preseason last year.

The Giants later signed him to their practice squad before being cut loose a few weeks ago. The Giants re-signed him a few weeks into the regular season only to cut him loose a few weeks ago.

In 2016, Hughes has been active for two games but has yet to record a statistic.

Walker, 26, originally signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent out of back in 2013. He lasted just over a year in Carolina before he waived and later signed by the Patriots.

The Ravens signed him off of the Patriots’ practice squad in December of 2014 and extended him an exclusive rights tender. However, they placed he was waived in August of last year and later signed by the Patriots.

Walker signed on to the Cowboys’ practice squad at the start of last season but was cut loose this summer.

In 2015, Walker appeared in two games and recorded just two tackles and no sacks for the Cowboys.
