Cowboys Worked Out Veteran OT Lamar Holmes

Adam Caplan of ESPN reports that the Cowboys brought in former Falcons OT Lamar Holmes for a workout on Wednesday.

  • Aaron Wilson reports that the Cowboys also worked out Mycal Swaim and Mitchell White.

Holmes, 26, was taken in third round of the 2012. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $2.633 million rookie contract that included a $533,600 signing bonus, and stands to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.

The Falcons placed Holmes on the PUP list at the start of the season before cutting him loose with an injury settlement close to a month ago.

He’s worked out for the Jets and Dolphins and recent weeks.

Last year, Holmes was limited to appearing in just four games for the Falcons.
