The New York Jets fans have to be holding their breath on the recent report that star corner-back Darrelle Revis was limited in practice today because of a hamstring problem. Thankfully the injury doesn’t appear that bad and Revis has not been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Patriots. The possibility of injury this early into the season has to be pretty concerning considering the massive contract that the Jets are on the hook for.
Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News provided some quotes from Jets head coach Rex Ryan.
“I’m not overly concerned right now, but anytime it’s a hamstring, you get a little nervous,” Ryan said.
Despite the fact that Revis’s injury doesn’t appear to be a significant problem, the team and fans alike have to be concerned about playing the rival Patriots this weekend. Revis was able to shut down Randy Moss in both of their meetings last season but not having him in the line up against Moss this weekend could pose a problem for the Jets defense.
