The Miami Dolphins announced Monday that they’ve claimed CB Javaris Davis off of waivers from the Chiefs and placed TE Michael Roberts on waivers.
The Dolphins also placed LS Blake Ferguson, DT Benito Jones and CB Cordrea Tankersley on the COVID-19 list.
The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Davis was waived with a non-football injury designation on Sunday.
Roberts, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Lions back in 2017. He was in the third year of his four-year, $2.99 million contract when the Lions traded him to the Patriots coming out of the 2019 preseason.
However, the trade was voided when Roberts failed a physical with New England. Detroit subsequently waived him and Roberts was claimed briefly by the Packers before being waived again.
The Dolphins signed Roberts to a contract this past February.
In 2018, Roberts appeared in eight games for the Lions and caught nine passes for 100 yards receiving and three touchdowns.
