Dolphins Hosting QB Tarvaris Jackson & C J.D. Walton For Visits

Pro Football Talk reports that the Dolphins are hosting QB Tarvaris Jackson and C J.D. Walton for visits on Thursday along with WR Michael Crabtree.

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll recently mentioned during a radio appearance on the Dave Softy Mahler Show that they were in contract talks with Jackson about re-signing him.

“I hope so, we’re in talks,” Carroll said in response to having Jackson back as their backup quarterback in 2015, via Dave Softy Mahler.

Jackson, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Vikings back in 2006. He spent five years in Minnesota before departing for an opportunity with the Seahawks. In 2014, he appeared in just one game and completed one pass for zero yards.

Walton, 27, signed a two-year, $5 million contract that included $3 million guaranteed with the Giants back in March of last year, but was released in a move that freed up $3 million in cap space.

Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 38 center out of 41 qualifying players last year.
