Dolphins Hosting WR Greg Jennings For A Visit

Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald reports that free agent WR Greg Jennings is visiting the Dolphins Tuesday.

As of now, Jennings’ market reportedly consists of the Jaguars, Panthers, and Dolphins.

Jennings was released by the Vikings in a move that freed upย $5 millionย in cap space shortly after the Mike Wallace tradeย was official.

Jennings, 31,ย appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and caught 59 receptions for 742 yards receiving and six touchdowns.ย Pro Football Focusย has him rated as the N0. 48ย receiver out of 110 qualifying players.

  1. This would be the right move for the fins. They need a veteran leader like him to bring the young receivers along. He still has game and will command attention from the defense… allowing the younger guys to grow. Taking a rookie receiver will make Tannehil regress. There are other needs with that 1st rounder such as Middle linebacker, Safety, and TE now that Clay is gone. Save the tackle for the 2nd round.

    • I agree that Jennings would be a decent fit for the Dolphins. It’s unlikely that he would require much in terms of salary and Joe Philbin is more than familiar with him from their time together in Green Bay.
