Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald reports that the Dolphins are not expected to tender a contract to restricted free agent WR Leonte Carroo and will part ways with the former third-round pick.
This, of course, means that Carroo will get an opportunity to test the free agent market as an unrestricted free agent.
Carroo, 25, is a former third-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2016. He was in the third of his four-year, $3.1 million contract when the Dolphins waived him at the start of the last season.
Carroo re-signed to the Dolphins’ practice squad and was eventually promoted to their active roster.
In 2018, Carroo appeared in nine games for the Dolphins and caught two passes for 94 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also rushed for 14 yards on one carry.
