Howard tore his ACL last year and is still working his way back to health. Miami placed Howard on injured reserve last October.
Howard, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2016. He was in the final year of his four-year, $6,128,038 and set to make a base salary of $1,285,641 for the 2019 season when he agreed to a five-year, $76.5 million extension that includes $46 million guaranteed with Miami last offseason.
In 2019, Howard appeared in five games for the Dolphins and recorded 17 tackles, one interception, and four pass defenses.
