The Miami Dolphins announced Wednesday that they’ve placed OL Jake Brendel on injured reserve and signed G/C Hroniss Grasu to a contract.
Brendel, 25, wound up signing on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of UCLA back in 2016. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to Dallas’ practice squad.
After being released by the Cowboys, Brendel signed on to the Dolphins’ practice squad and managed to make the 53-man roster last year. Miami brought him back on an exclusive rights deal this past April.
In 2018, Brendel was active for four games and played a total of 176 snaps.
Grasu, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Bears back in 2015. He was in the final year of his four-year, $3.44 million contract that included $814,855 guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season when the Bears waived him coming out of the preseason.
Grasu had a brief stint with the Ravens this year.
In 2018, Grasu has appeared in three games for the Ravens and appeared in 80 total snaps.
