The Miami Dolphins announced that they’ve placed S Reshad Jones and OT Avery Young on the non-football injury list.
Other Dolphins’ roster moves include:
- Dolphins placed WR Rashawn Scott on the active/physically unable to perform list.
- Dolphins activated RB De’Veon Smith and OT Eric Smith from the active/physically unable to perform list.
Jones, 29, is a former fifth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2010. He’s was in the final year of his five-year, $30.81 million contract that includes $15 million guaranteed when the Dolphins signed him to a five-year, $60 million extension that includes $35 million guaranteed this past March.
In 2016, Jones has appeared in six games for the Dolphins and recorded 51 tackles, one interception, a half sack and four pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 6Â safety out of 89 qualifying players.
