Joe Schad reports that the Dolphins are placing WR Jakeem Grant on season-ending injured reserve Wednesday.
The Dolphins have also promoted WR Isaiah Ford to their active roster.
This is the second straight year Grant’s season ends with him being placed on injured reserve.
Grant, 27, is a former sixth-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2016. He’s was entering the final year of his four-year, $2.48 million rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $720,000 this season when the Dolphins signed him to a four-year extension worth up to $24 million during the preseason.
In 2019, Grant appeared in 10 games for the Dolphins and caught 19 passes for 164 yards receiving to go along with five yards rushing and a touchdown. He also totaled 578 kick return yards and a touchdown.
