Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that the Dolphins are promoting S Montre Hartage to their active roster on Saturday.
- According to Barry Jackson, the Dolphins cut CB Xavier Crawford in a corresponding roster move.
Hartage, 22, wound up going undrafted out of Northwestern back in April. He later signed a three-year, $1.755 million contract with the Dolphins, but was unfortunately waived coming out of the preseason.
Miami re-signed Hartage to their practice squad after he cleared waivers.
During his college career at Northwestern, Hartage recorded 172 tackles, nine interceptions, a forced fumble, two recoveries and 26 pass defenses over the course of four seasons and 40 games.
