The Dolphins announced on Tuesday they have signed eight players to reserve/futures contracts.
The full list includes:
- LB Jake Carlock
- LB Terrill Hanks
- WR Andy Jones
- TE Chris Myarick
- OT Chidi Okeke
- DT Durval Queiroz Neto
- WR T.J. Rahming
- WR Terry Wright
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Jones, 25, originally signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Jacksonville back in 2016. He spent his rookie season on the Cowboys’ practice squad and returned to Dallas on a futures contract the following year.
The Cowboys waived Jones coming out of the preseason and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Texans. He later joined the Lions before eventually being promoted to their active roster in December of 2017.
Jones was waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason this year and cut with an injury settlement. He signed with Miami’s practice squad later in the year.
In 2018, Jones appeared in eight games for the Lions and caught 11 passes for 80 yards and one touchdown.
