The Dolphins announced Thursday they have signed CB Deatrick Nichols and waived S Steven Parker and TE Bryce Sterk.

Nichols was cut a few weeks ago by the Saints after landing in New Orleans following a promising stint in the XFL this past spring. He led the league with three interceptions before it closed.
Nichols, 25, wound up signing on with the Cardinals as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida back in 2018. He agreed to a three-year, $1.71 million contract and managed to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason, but was later waived in October.
Nichols was on and off of the Cardinals’ roster before agreeing to a deal with the Houston Roughnecks for the 2020 season. He was signed by the Saints after the league closed but was cut before the start of the season.
During his one season with the Roughriders, Nichols recorded 24 tackles, one sack and three interceptions.
