The Miami Dolphins announced Wednesday that they’ve tendered contracts to four exclusive rights free agents including G Isaac Asiata, OL Jesse Davis, OT Zach Sterup and DE Jonathan Woodard.
Woodard, 25, is a former seventh-round pick by the Jaguars in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Central Arkansas. After completing the first year of his rookie contract, Jacksonville waived him coming out of last year’s preseason.
After a brief stint with the Falcons, Woodard signed to the Dolphins’ practice squad in December of 2017 and re-signed to a futures contract last year. He was among Miami’s final roster cuts coming out of the preseason but was later re-signed to their practice squad and eventually promoted to their active roster.
In 2018, Woodard appeared in six games for the Dolphins and recorded 10 tackles and sack.
