There’s a good chance that Miami will re-sign Douglas to their practice squad in the coming days if he passes through waivers unclaimed.
Douglas, 24, is a former fourth-round pick of the Dolphins back in May of last year. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $2,798,564 contract and stands to make a base salary of $525,000 for the 2016 season.
The Dolphins elected to waive Douglas coming out of the preseason but he was signed to their practice squad just a day later. Miami called him in ahead of their game against the Bengals on Thursday.
In 2015, Douglas appeared in all 16 games for the Dolphins.
